How To Be a Career-Xombee in a 'Bridge Collapse Video'-World (Mission Statement, Updated August 3)

I had thought (as recently as the end of May) that I were "retired." In a way, I suppose I am; but now I am not so aimlessly retired as I thought I might be.

See, I had thought that I would 'hold out' for the chance to be an actor ... I still might get 'picked up for some huge production,' but not because I went knocking on all the big-producers' doors.

The Concept of Justice

The basic concept of justice is seen in its symbolic arbiter: the blindfolded lady with the scales, illustrating the principle that justice is 'our interpretation of nature's laws.'

One of nature's laws? Stuff dies. Oh, it's 'wrong' to make people die faster; but the only way to make a murder "right" is a suicide (or a 'legal murder'). Death is totally outside the realm of 'justice.'

U.S. Troops on Both Sides in War on the U.S. Constitution

Maybe the politicos don't care about the troops ... I don't, the troops themselves don't, and neither should you (unless you are related to some of the troops; in which case you don't care for those troops themselves, so much as the relationship you have with them that is dying/in-stasis until they get back).

Educationians Have to Keep Their 'Secret' Hidden

In an article on the effect MySpace and YouTube have on people's careers, dreahwrites noticed that people are getting fired and/or are denied power because of the content they submit to YouTube and MySpace.

Matt Hardy Is Immortal: Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment Thrives on the Self-Evident Value of Life

You might have rehd my occasional blessing/cursing of Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment (the WWE) before.

Tonight's inspiration came from Matt Hardy, who--in a match against "Money in the Bank" Mr.(rrrrrrrrrrrr) Kennedy (... ... KENNEDY!)--was pinned again-and-again--two-counts, two-and-a-half-counts--but simply would not 'submit' to the three-count.

*Kiddie-Cracker Idiots!* *Your "Profile" -Is NoT- Your "Website"*

If you're aiming for an audience that only gets on the computer to blow its memory on your heavy media, DON'T AIM FOR ME!

When the Internet first went public, lots of businesses were said to use their webpages as their "online business-cards." That usage holds true in websites' profile-listing features.

Don't Try to Be a 'Stalkee'

There's been lots of 'complaining' about FaceBook's new news-feed feature, that it 'invades the privacy' of its members. The complainers claim it makes users become 'stalkers' and 'trolls.'

This name-calling makes me angry.

Tina Fey (with Jeff and Alice Richmond), in "The New York Moon Also Rises"

I always wanted to write the best screenplays. I do indeed, except a) they're stories that actually happen, b) they happen whether I write them or not, and c) I'm too lazy to put `em down 'on paper.'

I just rehd an AlterNet-report on Women in Government Leading the Global-Warming Charge, and the issue of 'polar bear extinction' came up.

Waiting for AGloCo

The Internet is free-like-television (i.e. you get past all the fees--consider them 'sunk costs'--and it's yours, FREE! lol)

Of course, some folks want you to pay more attention to them: they offer sales and other things that perk one's ears ... they're interrupting and taking up your now-FREE time, there's got to be something in it for you!

The 'something in it' is usually translated into 'the currency of the moment,' which is usually money. I.e. Pay attention online and we will give you money!

Right now, I'm one of many hundreds-of-thousands waiting for the tracking-software to be released out of the limited-beta phase. But that won't happen unless the tracking-software has many-many additional users to track ... maybe you're The One it's waiting for!
