What is a Xomblurb?
What is a Xomblurb?
Find a website that you would like to share or a video that you think is pretty amazing?
Now you can share them on Xomba!
Still in the testing stages (Beta), but available for use now, you can post links to those cool articles, blogs, images, and videos found on other websites We are calling this new type of content "Xomblurbs".
Xomblurbs are very similar to Xombytes except they are tailored specifically for bookmarking interesting items on the internet.
Do we still split the revenue from Google Adsense?
Absolutely! Search Engines will pick up Xomblurbs just like they do Xombytes. So for those of you who aren't big on writing articles, Xomblurbs are an easy way for you to make some cash. Just make sure your accompanying summary is long enough that Google's search engines will be able to target their ads properly.
Where are the Xomblurbs listed?
A list of recent Xomblurbs can be found at www.xomba.com/xomblurb
How much money can I earn by posting Xomblurbs?
It depends on what you post. We're still testing this, but we know for a fact that short Xombytes can be profitable. This is the main reason for creating Xomblurbs. Besides the money you can make though, Xomblurbs are just a fun way to share your discoveries with the rest of the Xomba community.
*************************************************************
Xomblurbs and the new rating system, are currently in the development and testing stages. We are still experimenting with formatting them and understanding how the voting system will work with Xomblurbs and Xombytes.
We strongly encourage you to use them while they are in Beta stage so we can see how best to set them up to benefit all of us. After all, if you aren't making money on Xomba, neither are we.
In the meantime, we welcome your comments and suggestions at:
Have fun and happy writing!

Unenforcable Honor-Code
It really annoys me (although I've been guilty of it before) when people decide a site is "worth `blurbing" before they even see the content ... you know; the links to movies the blogger hasn't seen any of himself, the people who think the first two paragraphs of an article describe the whole thing, etc.
Okay, 'Raise Your Right-Hand and Repeat after Me: I promise to actually show a bit of reaction what I'm `blurbing.'

Unenforceable honor code...
Isn't that like saying the same thing two times twice-over?
Unenforceable Honor-Code: Not Exactly Repetition
Maybe some clubs-etc. have 'Honor-Codes' where you can't get caught breaking them. To me, 'getting caught/snitched-out' is the 'enforcement.' (and yes, the threat of being "dis-bar-ed" is also enforceing).
For example, if one knows where to find 'free movie-downloads' and mentions the place where the 'free movie-downloads' are found, then the honor-code they've broken is unenforceable (`coz they didn't "do" anything wrong; they just told some other people how to do something wrong ... of course, we trust the people to "do the right thing" and investigate all the links to make sure the uploading is cleared by the rightful owners; because we all know what moral geniuses 'people' are, right?)
