Save an endangered Australian species - buy chocolate Bilbies this Easter.
Hi, my name is Dawn and I'am an endangered Australian Bilby. There are only 600 of us left in the wild and we need YOUR help to survive.
Buy chocolate Bilbies for Easter at your store or supermarket this week. Tell others of our plight!

Since 2001, the main aim of the "Save the Bilby" Fund has been raising money for the fenced-off safe Bilby haven in Currawinya National Park in Queensland.
Rose- Marie Dusting is openly recognised as Australia's "Original Bilby Lady" and creator of the emotive Easter Bilby concept. She focused on children by promoting an awareness of the need to protect Australia's native species from extinction with her 1979 book, "Billy the Aussie Easter Bilby".Read more
I'm a Kiwi from New Zealand, where we have great programs to save our endangered species, such as Tuatara lizards, various Dolphins and many native birds. We are extremely fortunate and probably spoilt in comparison to many other countries in that we have a fine state funded Conservation Department backed up by many scientists in various universities here. In Australia you have some great dedicated individual conservationists who have been responsible for setting up and supporting various trusts, such as that involving Rose-Marie Dusting.I support your Easter Bilby concept and will post on various of my blogs this week.

are you really?
i didn't know animals could talk OR type, at least not in a language that any humans would be able to understand. oh ok sure sign language, but otherwise? nope.
and i only clicked on this article b/c i thought it said something about "chocolate BIBLES." mmmmhhhh... sacralicious!
Chocolate Bibles?
Maybe chocolate Bibles is related to My Sweet Lord, that sculpture of the crucified Jesus done in chocolate... without the traditional loincloth.
Chocolate Bilbies...
If you had read the article properly, you would have understood what I was writing about:
A Bilby is a small rabbit like animal from Australia.Unfortunately my link to the website did not work properly.
Read the article again!
I did read the article
"properly," and while it's clear it's talking about an animal, it would have been good to say what kind of animal it is (as has now been done).
I was just making a humorous comment on the previous comment about chocolate 'bibles'. And if a person writes an article that starts off with a talking animal, he has to realize that there may be humorous responses.
for someone...
for someone who starts an article writing as tho they were an animal, this person has no sense of humor. =p
I have a great sense of humour.
I have a great sense of humour and can write cleverly. Actually there is a link to the Bilby website that wouldn't work. The bit about writing as a Bilby came from the website. If you are really interested , 'Google' the Bilby. It is also important to read articles right through. If you are still interested please contact me again. Is English your second language? The 'Bilby' is a native Australian species that looks like a rabbit!
*pat*pat*
the article WAS read. and jokes about it were made. is english your second language? i think it would have to be if you're a bilby.
You have a good sense of humour...
Great! So you read it; very good because i promised an Australian blogging friend I would support by posting on a number of my blogsites. In New Zealand we have a great state funded Conservation Department. In Aussie they rely on private Trusts to help. Where do you come from?
