Google Adsense places targeted ads on your Xombytes and Xomblurbs by analyzing your content. In other words, it matches text ads to what you write about. Xomba has already predetermined the placement of these ads so all you have to do is write and the ads will show up automatically. Xomba splits its Google Adsense revenue with our users 50/50. We do this by changing the Adsense code every time the page is viewed. So half the time some one views your article our Adsense code is being used, the other half of the time your Adsense code is being used. You make money when people click on the ads shown. (NOTE: Never click your own ads or instruct someone to click your own ads. This is a violation of Xomba and Google's terms of service and will get you banned immediately.) Google will send you a payment once your account has reached a total of $100 or more. Xomba does not pay its users or handle any information regarding your personal Adsense account.
On Xomba there a two types of content: Xombytes and Xomblurbs. Xombytes have a minimum of 100 words and should be of magazine quality. We don't expect everyone to be an English expert, but we do expect articles to have correct grammar and spelling. The Firefox browser has a built in spell checking program or you can write your Xombytes in a word processing program first and then copy it to Xomba. For basic grammar tips, check out this link to an online version of "The Elements of Style." Here are examples of some good Xombytes:
- How To Make Money Recycling Scrap Metal
- TFT Monitors Buying Tips
- How To Build A Teeter Totter
- The Rhinoceros A Most Frightful Looking Veghead
The other type of content on Xomba are Xomblurbs. Xomblurbs are social bookmarks, or links that you want to share with the Xomba community. Xomblurbs require that you write a brief summary of what is being linked to, provide the link itself, and select what type of link you are posting. The revenue on Xomblurbs is split in the exact same way as Xombytes, 50/50 between Xomba and the user. Here are some good examples of Xomblurbs:
- Rare Helen Keller Photo Discovered
- Doomsday Vault Safeguards Seeds In Case Of Disaster
- Emperors Club Vip Ring Bust
- Man Loses Everything In Craiglist
One important thing to keep in mind when writing both Xombytes and Xomblurbs is that everything that you post on Xomba must be in your own words. Plagiarism, which is the copying of someone else’s words, and in some cases, just their ideas, is a crime and will result in being permanently banned from Xomba.
One of the most common questions that new users have when they first join Xomba is: what should I write about? The simple answer to this question is to write what you know. If you are really into fashion then you should write about fashion. If you are really into sports then you should write about sports. Not only will writing about what you know give you an advantage because you know the subject matter, it will also be more enjoyable than writing about subjects you have no interest in. There is no magic topic that makes more money than other topics; the internet has people from all walks of life looking for all kinds of information. So write about what you know and the readers will follow.
Ideas On What To Write About
When you start writing your Xombyte the inclination is to write your title first and then finish writing the rest of the post. It is better to write the body of the post first and then come up with a title that is representative of what you have written. The title is probably the most important part of your post. You want to come up with a title that both describes what you have written and will attract an audience. All titles should contain at least three words. If your title contains less than three words then it will be too general for anyone using a search engine to find it. For example, if you write an article about air filters a good title would be "Top 10 Best Air Filters On The Market" not just "Best Air Filters".
Whenever you write a Xombyte or Xomblurb, you have to select a Category that your post will be placed in. It is very important to make sure that you select the most appropriate Category for your post. This will help readers determine what kind of content you have written. Also, some of the Category pages get a lot of regular readers that will be interested in a post made to those particular Categories.
Another option for classifying Xombytes and Xomblurbs is to add Tags. Tags are an additional way that readers can find your work. If readers want to find all of the information on Xomba about Star Wars then they would go to the Star Wars Tag page to see everything related to Star Wars. You can use up to five Tags on any Xombyte or Xomblurb. It is highly recommended that you try to use Tags that have already been created. They will appear in a drop down menu below the box where you input Tags. These Tag pages have already been seen by the search engines so they will be visited more often than newly created Tag pages.
When trying to make money online you have to make sure to keep things in perspective. Xomba is not a get rich quick scheme so don't expect to make hundreds of dollars overnight. It will probably take about 3 months of consistent posting before you will see stable earnings from Xomba. A good goal to set is to try and make $3.33 a day, that way you will make enough to reach the minimum Google pay out each month, $100. Posting a combined 3 to 5 Xombytes and Xomblurbs a day is a good way to get steady earnings. For a very insightful view of earning money on Xomba check out what one of our users has to say:
