A Simple Solution and They Know It
A Simple Solution and They Know It
You know what will bring the soaring gas prices down? Realistically? Without leaving us vulnerable like emptying our reserves. Or cause people to have to move out of their forty mile away mountain home to the inner city because a democrat says we have to drive less?
Drill Here Drill Now Pay Less
SIGN the petition while you are there. Already over a million people have signed to send the message to our Representatives this problem is very simple to solve. We are well on the way to gathering over three million signatures to send to the men and women who represent us in Washington. Letting them know the solution is simple. Before the November election.
Drill Here Drill Now Pay Less
At the same time we can invest in alternative fuels and energies. Their is nothing stopping that. But this batch of democrat run cognress won't do that.
In America we have a party that has to make America her self look ugly, in order to look electable to their base of voters this election. A good example, Michelle Obama's speech.
This party needs gas to rise above five dollars a gallon to promote their new anti global warming pink Gore special interest group pushed, fifty thousand dollar a hydro car technology.
A lot of us can't afford that right now. So what do we do? I have a question about that too. What if there is a drought. How much will water be a gallon than? Quit biting our noses off to spite our face. Please. Tell these corrupt democrats to Drill Here Drill Now Pay Less
It is a simple solution and they know it.

A simpler solution
... would be for people to ditch their gas-guzzling SUVs and buy vehicles with high miles/gallon. Consumers can do that NOW, instead of waiting years for offshore drilling to get going.
There are already high-mileage cars, and you can bet even more efficient models will come out when the carmakers see that that's where customers are heading.
You blame the Democrats for not drilling, but the (Republican) governors of Florida and California are not crazy about drilling oil off their coasts, and neither are most of their residents. Actually McCain, too, was against offshore drilling until recently.
Every one I know is getting
Every one I know is getting high mileage cars. Politicians using gas prices as leverage to drive the market is corrupt.
Your solution I am sorry to say is cold hearted, mean and represents only one side. Again I will say
Drill Here Drill Now Pay Less
And sign the petition. Tell this Democrat ran Congress we can walk and chew bubble gum at the same time. We can use our own resources and figure out how to use alternative fuels simultaneously. In a few years we won't need oil anymore.
Even your own Reps are starting to see that the blankets of this charade are going to be pulled off. The smart ones have changed their minds already.
Did you know there is a petition in congress that has been started among themselves and as of yesterday has a hundred and twenty six signatures from both sides saying
Drill Here Drill Now Pay Less
It is so nice to see a Republic work together to represent the people who ELECTS THEM.
Huh?
"Every one I know is getting high mileage cars. "
That's exactly what I'm saying... people taking matters into their own hands and sending car makers the message that those huge gas guzzlers aren't going to cut it anymore.
How is encouraging people to get better mileage card "mean" and "cold hearted"? It's logical. People every day are finding other ways to drive less (including using mass transit more, and even WALKING!). I'm not addressing "one side" of the equation as you say... I'm also in favor of the alternative energy solutions you've mentioned elsewhere
McCain says that more drilling will help in the "short term." But factcheck.org says, "But according to a government report, offshore oil wouldn't have much of an impact on supply or prices until 2030."
Since people are hurting now, shouldn't they take action right away to use less gas, etc.?
Speaking of people hurting, imagine what the effect of an oil spill in Ca. or Fla. would have on the economy and livelihood of people in those states... which is why a majority of people in both states, and their Republican governors, are against drilling off their shores (or Crist was... he seems to have changed his tune recently to try to become McCain's VP).
The petition "has a hundred and twenty six signatures"? Xomba has more than 10 times that many people, LOL!
Xomba has quite a few more
Xomba has quite a few more people than Congress period. So I would be careful what you laugh at. Your imagination did not become a reality during katrina so what is your point.
I believe this is also a major factor in what is swaying even alot of those on your side to sign the petition that was started in the Senate. Not just for gain. Some do things for good not just for personal wealth. That is called virtue. Don't you demand that?
I am glad the Wright bro's did not say I better not make this airplane to fly cause I might crash. Even though crashes do happen. Nice to live in an immaginary world. But this is reality.
One sided is saying what you are in favor of without giving a solution for the other. Walking doesn't cut it. Mass transit does not either. Alot of homes and small towns have no access to this. So if this is not mean hearted than it is just not well thought out.
Thirty years? I heard Obama say last night five years. So who knows huh. I do know when something is on its way. It is ON ITS WAY. And everyone will know it. That alone is relief. The people want to do both. Alternative fuels and produce our own oil at the same time. The politicians on one side wants the crisis. I should say needs it and is trying desperately to keep it.
The high mileage cars I am talking about. Well my friends all NEED trucks. So yea most are buying the brand new diesel that can run on both bio fuels and diesel. We have money. Can you afford a forty thousand dollar truck cash right now? Most can't. And why do you feel it your duty to say they have to committ to another vehicle payment? Or walk or ride a bus. Still the gas prices have not changed. So what is the point?
I see your point, and people are already doing this. I see no relief. So lets walk and chew bubblegum at the same time. I think that is the best idea. Do both. Perfect our alternative fuels and produce our own oil.
How do I follow such a well written comment
Well said man. What people also need to realize is that by drilling here we create jobs as well. In today's economy, we need as many jobs as we can get.
This is just too sad
Giving relief and creating jobs are completely out of the question for a particular party right now. They have to talk about how their isn't any jobs. If they were to create jobs. The party wouldn't be able to say their isn't any jobs. The economy is man made. Alot of voters are getting upset.
